Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the services provided by Rent-O-Car ("we," "us," or "our"). By renting a vehicle from Rent-O-Car, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined below. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not rent a vehicle from us.

1. Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Rent-O-Car, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old (some locations may require a minimum age of 25).
  • Hold a valid driver’s license for at least one year.
  • Have a valid credit or debit card in the name of the renter.
  • Have proof of identity (e.g., passport for international renters).
  • Meet any other eligibility criteria specified at the time of rental.

2. Reservation and Rental Fees

  • Rental fees are based on the vehicle, rental period, and any additional options or services selected (such as insurance or GPS).
  • Rates may vary depending on the location, vehicle type, and season.
  • You will be required to provide a deposit at the time of rental to cover any potential damages or charges.
  • Full payment is due at the time of pickup. Additional charges may apply for late returns, extended rentals, or additional services.

3. Payment

  • Rent-O-Car accepts various forms of payment, including credit and debit cards.
  • All payments must be made in full at the time of pickup.
  • We reserve the right to charge your credit/debit card for any additional fees incurred during your rental period, including but not limited to fuel charges, fines, tolls, or damages to the vehicle.

4. Rental Period

  • The rental period begins when you pick up the vehicle and ends when you return it.
  • If you wish to extend your rental period, you must notify us in advance. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and additional charges.
  • If you fail to return the vehicle on time, you may incur late fees, typically based on an hourly or daily rate.

5. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are provided with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank.
  • If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, you will be charged for refueling at market rates.
  • Alternatively, you can choose the prepaid fuel option, where you pay for a full tank of gas in advance.

6. Insurance and Liability

  • Basic insurance coverage is included in the rental price. However, you may choose to purchase additional coverage at the time of rental.
  • Rent-O-Car offers several optional insurance packages, such as Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection, and Personal Accident Insurance.
  • In case of an accident or damage to the vehicle, you may be held responsible for the cost of repairs, subject to the terms of the insurance coverage.

7. Vehicle Use

  • The vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the vehicle for:
    • Racing or off-road driving.
    • Transporting hazardous materials or illegal substances.
    • Subletting the vehicle to another person.
    • Any activity that violates the laws or regulations of the country or region in which you are renting the vehicle.
  • The vehicle is not permitted to be driven outside the country or region without prior written permission from Rent-O-Car.

8. Additional Drivers

  • Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement for a fee. The additional driver must meet the same rental requirements as the primary driver and must be present at the time of vehicle pickup.
  • All additional drivers will be covered by the same insurance terms and conditions as the primary driver.

9. Accidents and Damages

  • In the event of an accident, you must report the incident to local authorities and immediately inform Rent-O-Car.
  • You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle, regardless of fault, unless you have purchased additional insurance.
  • If you are involved in an accident, you must not admit liability or make any statements that could affect the outcome of an insurance claim.

10. Cancellation and Modifications

  • You can cancel or modify your reservation at any time before the rental period begins. Cancellation fees may apply, depending on the time of cancellation and the terms of your reservation.
  • If you cancel or modify your booking after the rental has started, you may be charged for the full rental period.
  • Please refer to the specific cancellation policy at the time of booking for further details.

11. Return of Vehicle

  • The vehicle must be returned to the agreed-upon location and on time.
  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
  • You are responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle during the rental period, including damage to the interior, tires, and windshield.

12. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.
  • Drive the vehicle on unpaved or off-road surfaces unless the vehicle is specifically designated for such use.
  • Drive the vehicle in a negligent or reckless manner.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Rent-O-Car is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information only for the purpose of providing rental services and processing payments.
  • By renting a vehicle from us, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

  • Rent-O-Car is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may occur during your rental period.
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the rental of the vehicle, excluding any third-party damages or costs.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Rent-O-Car harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the vehicle, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or legal fees.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of the USA.
  • Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of US.
  • You agree to resolve any disputes in the jurisdiction where Rent-O-Car operates.

17. Amendments to Terms

  • Rent-O-Car reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated terms will be effective immediately upon posting.
